Metaphorical things are easy. I like to express them in my writing, because drawing them is hard. But, you just take what you feel and draw it.

You compare your emotions to something similar.

This reminds me of U2's Walk On, the part that says, "You could have flown away / a singing bird in an open cage / who will only fly, only fly for freedom". Gorgeous work.
